Satan's Pet

Description: A winged creature with large beak and talons. Similar in appearance to a pterosaur. 

Location/Range: Elizabeth Lake near Lancaster, California. Later reports in Tombstone, Arizona suggest the creature fled from California to Arizona. 

Sightings: Most common from 1830-1860. 

Fun Fact: Satan is rumored to have created Elizabeth lake. He is thought to have left his pet to guard Elizabeth Lake. The lake sits on the San Andreas fault. This portion of the fault is rumoured to be a passage to the underworld.
